SCHOTT AF 32® eco Glass

Glass Type: Borosilicate

Description

SCHOTT AF 32® eco is an alkali-free, alumina-borosilicate, thin glass produced by SCHOTT using the down-draw method which enables production in a thickness range between 0.03 mm and 1.1 mm.

Its fire-polished surface results in a low roughness value. The coefficient of thermal expansion of AF 32® eco is equivalent to silicon; thus making it an ideal choice for optical packaging material in semiconductor applications. Due to its high transformation temperature, it can be used in high-temperature applications of up to approximately 600 °C.

AF 32® eco is available in wafer format and is manufactured with eco-friendly refining agents. SGP can cut, drill, lap, and polish this material to many sizes and surface finishes.
